Dear Families,
Welcome to Sanders’ Sandbox! We are very excited for the school year to begin. We have lots of new and exciting things happening this year in the Sandbox. We can’t wait to share them with you! First, we want to tell you a little bit about ourselves.
Hi! I’m Judy Sanders. This will be the beginning of my 35th year of teaching! I taught 14 years in Indiana and 20 years in Kentucky. This is my 9th year here at Camden Station. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from Indiana University. I also have a Rank 1 from the University of Louisville concentrated in the area of science.
My husband, Steve, and I have been married for 31 years. We have three beautiful daughters, Amanda age 38, Katie age 29, and Julia who is 22 years old. Amanda is paralegal with a law firm in Louisville. Katie graduated from Murray State University, married and is teaching second grade here at Camden Station. Julia got married this past July and is attending Spaulding University. She is majoring in occupational therapy. My husband is an attorney and commutes to Frankfort, Kentucky every day. We are huge Louisville Cardinals' fans!
I love teaching and learning new things. This year, I will be learning about how to implement more technology into my instruction. I enjoy all kinds of music. I love working in my yard taking care of plants and wildlife. I also enjoy traveling with my family and friends.
Hi! I am Dana Nichter. I will be Mrs. Sanders’ assistant this year. I worked with Mrs. Sanders part of last year. I have been working with Eagles Nest for 11 years. I have my parents, two sisters and two wonderful brother-in-laws. I spend lots of time with my family. We love going to the lake. I am so excited about working with your child this coming school year!
We are looking forward to being a part of your child’s learning experiences this year. We are passionate about teaching kindergarten and we know our journey will be amazing!
This will be a wonderful year of growing, exploring and learning. Each day brings new ideas and new talents for our kindergarten students. A strong connection between school and home helps to foster the growth and learning of each child. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and cooperative learning environment in order for your child to grow and learn here a Camden Station Elementary. We are looking forward to being a part of your child’s learning experiences this year. We are passionate about teaching kindergarten and we know our journey will be amazing!
